The Dirndl - The Traditional Bavarian Dress
We've all seen it, although we might not know what it's called - the Dirndl, that tight, boob-lifting, waist-cinching dress that the Germans wear. Except it's not really the Germans that wear them, but rather the Bavarians. I am going to look briefly at the history of the Dirndl, look at how the traditional Dirndl has changed to become the colourful dresses now worn at Oktoberfest, and give a few simple tips on how to wear a Drindl.
